  • three take on countries best at NZ School road running champs

    Sophie Bright had an outstanding 2 races in the u16 girls with 9th in the road running champs then 2 hours later backed it up with 13th in the 1500mt race. Sophie was the only girl to do back to back races, and showed good class in doing so. Henry Gautrey had a good result with 7th U15 boys. Christian Davey had a tough start but ran his way into 12th place U19 senior boys.

  • CSP retain WLG Triathlon Club sprint titles

    Lachlan Davey raced well to win the WLG sprint title for a 3rd time. Other club members raced well also to take honours in their age groups. Susannah Lynch 1st u19 / Emma Stewart 2nd, Becky Hawthorne 3rd. Jake Jamieson 1st U19 / Thomas Newman 2nd Jo Crawford 2nd open 2nd overall / Kerri Ball 4th open 5th overall Andrew Bluck 20th  / Pete Lister 14th open age group Gene McNaught 1st vet / Ross Jamieson 4th vet

  • Top 10 NZ finish and opening Scorcher Duathlon

    Massive congrats to team member Matt Leyland on his 7th placing at the recent NZ Cyclocross Champs held in the Hawkes Bay region. This was Matt's biggest finish and all the hard work during the winter series here in Wellington paid off. Also the first Scorcher Duathlon was held the same weekend on a cracker day with Henry taking line honours ahead of the Davey  brothers Christian and Lachlan.   • SCNZ clean up at WLG school tri champs

    Like last year we had some great results and this year we did a little better. U19 boys Mitchell Rutter 1st,  Jake Jamieson 2nd, Daniel Ryan 3rd, Christian Davey 4th to make a clean sweep. U16 girls Emelie Clarke 1st Caitlyn Macquarrie 2nd Sophie Bright 5th Becky Hawthorne 6th Emma Stewart 7th U16 boys Henry Gautrey 1st U14 boys Thomas Scott McCallum 1st (unable to claim title due to being out of the WLG school zone area).

  • 3 members become IRONMAN at IMNZ 2014 plus karapoti Classic

    Big weekend just gone with athletes racing all over the world over 3 distance events. On Saturday I had 3 athletes I have been working with to complete their first ever ironman distance race.   • Team take’s massive medal haul at the NZ & Oceania Sprint Tri Champs

    Last weekend we had a number of athletes take part in the .Kiwi event held in Kinloch. The event included the National Sprint Champs, the Erin Baker standard distance, the Oceania sprint champs and the Tag Team Relay. Everyone performed exceptionally well with a number of PBs.   • Thomas takes medals all weekend long

    Congrats to Thomas McCallum with his efforts at the Wairarapa Swim Champs over the weekend. Thomas took bronze in the 400 free & 50 breast stroke. Silver in the 200 & 400 IM, 100 free, 50 fly, 100 & 200 breast stroke and then 4th in both the 50 & 200 free.

  • The triathlon events of January 2014

    Over the last week I have had athletes take part in 4 different triathlon events. The first being the Challenge Wanaka ½ Ironman, then AKL 70.3 ironman, Scorching triathlon and the Takapaun triathlon. To start with first up will be the Wanaka event.   • Bronte collects SCNZ first ever long course medal

    Massive congrats to Bronte Tennant today on her first ever 1/2 ironman distance race to come home 3rd in her age group 20-24, Top job and always new this distance was for her liking.   • WLG tri club champs and Taupo cycle challenge

    Wow what a massive weekend once again with loads going on. I had 24 athletes all racing this weekend with most of them taking on the 2nd tri race also being WLG Sprint Tri Champs, and the Taupo Cycle Challenge.
